1. There is no need to 'pity' consumers in the U.S. ... the EULA for the CC subscription agreement clearly states the conditions and terms. If the end user doesn't appreciate the terms ... don't agree to them. There are other options to Adobe software.

2. Get your facts straight ... no one pays for 10 months if they end an annual subscription 2 months into the 12 month cycle ... they pay a maximum of 50% of the remaining amount due. Period.

I would venture to say that someone who wants to be up to date with editing software should have some kind of business supporting it. There are a slurry of apps out there for 9.99 which could do the job for someone who isn't income generating.

So with both business models, I don't think the relative amounts in almost any relative economy should have a problem to be able to afford these programs at their current prices.

So if someone could find a way to buy a Mac, I'm sure they could find a way to buy FCPX. Same goes with Adobe. If you could buy a system that can support video editing, I'm sure you could then afford the software. But again all assuming your doing this for business.

If its your hobby? I was looking in to racing my Lamborghini every weekend, but it didn't fit in to budget....
