So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun.

Well! to tell the truth I did this animation. It's to make you all the best wishes. As usual it’s true 3d. All the packages are variations of a single copy, then there are the typical Christmas Italian sweets, a bottle of sparkling wine ( Spumante ) and finally a cylindrical container filled with letters, then a star .. snow ..fireworks… in short, all the right ingredients.

So: A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year

P.S. Use the new changed font “ornithopter” that i've attached to the template. You need it for built the pandoro.

A friend of mine asked me to add reflections on the floor. So this is the revised version. The project has become heavier to handle, but looks much better. Now The Vimeo Link shows the new version.
happy New Year

New episode in the” real 3D” series.
I was listening to my old vinyl collection,I put on the plate the first album of Alan Parson’s Project "Tales of mystery ....." and soon reaches me the voice of Orson Welles that reads a dream within a dream and.. out of the blue here is coming to mind the right animation for my improved Quadcopter ( the golden one ): "A world within a world “.

The idea has not been easy to implement, In addition to the Quadcopter I had to build a model of my MacBook Pro, a curved setting to give a sense of depth to the background and a soundtrack with original music with the necessary sound effects. But all this was not enough because soon number of problems came:
A ) The MacBook showed strange artifacts when rendered with the curved background. The solution was to render the whole animation of the background alone and add the movie in 2D in the back ( I left the curved setting off in the Layers window to see how it was made )
B ) The quadcopter animation was made with a small shift in the Z axis because the plans actually are very close, so the effect of approach was obtained by adjusting the scale factor ( This allowed me to get the feeling of transition from the screen to the outside world )
C ) In the first part of the animation when the quadcopter appears from behind the mountain was no longer possible to achieve the effect because the background had become a 2D movie. The solution was to add in front a portion of the mountain as a 3D object.
Finally after all the video work, the soundtrack made with GarageBand and its sound effects
The most attentive will be able to seize in the final, the quote of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind “
The MacBook and quadcopters models in the animation template are not very accurate but functional for this work, so I recommend to use the ones that I will post as soon as possible in the FCP.co template section.

You can download the template (1,29 GB ) with the font “Quadcopter2-Regular.ttf” at www.filedropper.com/archiveworld
The video Link as usual vimeo.com/158615330

Have fun ! Pielle

I'd love to see that demo go longer, do some more sophisticated movement/flight paths, and do a totally original score for you. Plus, I have actual Inspire and Phantom quadcopter sounds, very clearly recorded, from the TV show I'm working on, if interested.

Thank you Ben ! You have all the necessary things to get it. I published the template on purpose to stimulate other works. If I didn't want others could use and modify my work, I would not have published it. The strange thing is that I expected questions and explanations as to how and why I did the things I did. The only constructive comment was your "Align objects with zero setting". I thought my work was too complicated and so I published simpler things (framed picture)
The answer is always the same. The work is appreciated but not generate discussion. I acknowledge that I made an error of assessment. Anyway thank you for your offer as I've already told in an other Topic your contribution is welcome.
One last thing I finished set to zero "the golden one" then you will find it in great shape and with new detailed engines.

Hello!. It is a bit of time in my head, the vision of an exploded old mechanical object, that is reassembled sucked by a magnetic twister. For the animation I built an old-fashioned alarm clock. A fairly simple model, to don't stress a lot the rendering engine Of "Motion 5”, In fact, what interests me was to produce the movement of the magnetic twister. Let me know if it makes the idea.
The alarm clock model as “FCPX generator” can be found as usual in the template section.
Here in attachment the animation template

Born as a joke between Mahoney and me, it’s then grown to present state. I created a suitable environment and then a presentation animation.

Video link: vimeo.com/164735657

The katana is a replica of the famous sword in the "Highlander" movie. To realize it I had to draw the font "ZP-Katana.ttf”, and most of the textures. In attachment you can find the animation “Dojo”; for the Katana as fcpx generator go to template section of this site and look for Connor’s Katana
Unzip “Pielle Dojo+font”, install The "ZP-Katana.ttf” font in system, then double click on Dojo inside Dojo folder and the template of animation will open in "Apple motion"
Have Good fun! Pielle
