Possibly a rhetorical question, but it is good to see Final Cut Pro X taking the stage again at the SuperMeet. Don't forget we still have an offer of five Euros off the admission price.

Do you remember back to Larry's LAFCPUG presentation before the release of Final Cut Pro X when he said it wasn't going to be ready for professional use? To say it caused a bit of an impact amongst the FCP community would have been a bit of an understatement! Was he right? Maybe yes on some points, maybe no on others, our transcribed portion does make an interesting read.

Well Larry is back and this time he's at the SuperMeet in Amsterdam and he's going to be asking the question again 'Is Final Cut Pro X ready for professional use?" Which to us is a bit like asking the question "Is your wife pretty?"

What will Larry have to say and show? It's highly unlikely that he's going to give us a peep at any new features in the upcoming update, probably more of an demonstration of how far FCPX has come on in development since its release:

'It's been 2 years, and nine dot releases since Final Cut Pro X was launched. It is time to take a close look and discover the answer for yourself. Internationally-renowned consultant and Apple-Certified trainer Larry Jordan will take us on an in-depth tour of FCP X 10.0.9. Learn what you can, and cannot do with FCP X. Discover for yourself the speed, power, and flexibility that Final Cut provides for even the most demanding workflows. See new tools in action that help you work faster. And, if you've never seen Larry on stage, you are in for a treat - his demos are amazing! Plus, there will be time for questions and comments at the end.'

So get your questions ready for Larry!

The SuperMeet takes place on Sunday the 15th of September in the Winter Garden and Grand Ballroom at The Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Dam 9 1012 JS Amsterdam. Doors open at 16:00, presentations start from 19:00.

You can still get €5 off the ticket price by following this link €5 OFF SuperMeet 2013 Amsterdam.

It is also a good time to remind you of our great article that was written with Michael Horton and Dan Bérubé that looked back at how the creative pro user group meetings and SuperMeets started.

Also on the bill for the evening are:

Alexis Van Hurkman and Marc-André Ferguson talking about Autodesk Smoke.

Al Mooney showing Adobe Creative Cloud Premiere Pro.

Mike Thornton will demo audio repair tools from iZotrope.

James Tonkin will show working with the Pocket & Blackmagic Cinema Cameras and DaVinci Resolve 10
