Hello everibody
Here is a 3d model of a quadcopter to use in your animation.
As usual it is a model made entirely in the 3D Text environment. For the occasion, was designed a font ( Quadcopter.ttf ) that you can find in the zipped attachment. Install the font and put the folder (Quadcopter) in User/ Your name/ Movies/Motion/Generators. Be careful, don’t touch the various parameters then those published ( except if you know what you are doing ) because everything messing up.
have a good day Pielle.

CRAAAAAZZY, man!!
I would need years and tons of tranquilizers and wouldn't come close to yours!!

Pielle, you're a magician!! Awesome!!!

… maybe will tweak it slightly, Motion Blur for the propellers and perhaps some light settings ... added it for a test to some sunny recording = it looks real.

Good morning. I'm glad you enjoyed the model. I decided to put this simpler one, because easier to animate; but I built a more detailed model that I am using in my animation. Karsten looks that I'm less crazy than you think. The model has been created in a couple of evenings after dinner.
Anyway I enclose two frames of the model, much more real don’t you think?

I had to redo your original, and orient the model to be perfectly centered, looking directly at the camera. This makes it way easier to animate (tilt, rotate, etc). Any 3D model you purchase will be oriented like that, to make animating easier and more logical when you start moving things around.

Ben you're right, I apologize. If I share my work with others I have to do it in the best way. But when I spoke of the difficulty of animate it, I was referring to the amount of RAM employed. Motion allows you to animate in real time up to a reasonable amount of ram, and since I have become lazy everything needs a rendering, is a bore. On the other hand I like
detailed models, so no more laziness and go with rendering.
Postscript: If you want you can attach the aligned model, we will all be grateful to you. I write topics to confront and improve myself not to teach, your help is welcome

My Mac Pro is not having issues animating your very awesome model. I'm having a blast with it, and pretty decent playback in Motion. On the road right now, but will post my modification soon.

Vey cool. :cheer: Enjoyed the model too. I would like to educate the Quadcopter Flyers through this post , what exactly is Yaw, Roll and Pitch. Before Learning more quadcopter's motion terminology (Yaw, Roll and Pitch), lets move on to know, something about Quadcopters and how it flies.

Following the changes introduced in Apple Motion 5.3, the model does not work very well anymore. In attachment the compliant update.
Enjoy Pielle
