Mini with Promise Pegasus Raid Question

I just got a Promise Pegasus r4 off eBay and received it today. And now I find out that there is way more I don't know. So my question is, can anyone tell me the best raid configuration for Final Cut Pro 10.1?

The drives are currently setup in RAID 5, but I am thinking about switching it to RAID 10. Is one really better than the other. Right now I have 6tb of accessible data with RAID 5, but with RAID 10 I believe I will go to 4TB. I find this acceptable. My main concern with going to RAID 10 is speed. I've read it can be faster, but I'm wondering if I am going to notice.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

5 is native for that unit, stick with 5, that's what I'm running, plenty fast enough.
