Aspect ratio - generator was created by knesaren
This generator lets you choose between different aspect ratios to letterbox your picture. It was made as a generator, so that you'll be able to move the picture beneath the generator for "recropping".
Aspect ratios: 1.85, 1.896, 21:9, 2.35:1, 2.37:1, 2.39:1, 2.55:1, 2.66:1, 2.76:1, 3:1, 4:1 and 12:1

No, sorry, at least not in a plugin made purely inside of Motion. In FCP7 you have to make plugins with the FxScript language. Now, you could go into Pixelmator or Photoshop and create the various bars and pillars, in layers, and import that as a layered PSD file, then turn layers on and off in FCP7. Not as quick or easy, but would work.
