MICROCUT - automatic 1-5-frame cut for the lazy editor

No tutorial, no demo video, this is very simple to use:





clip #1 is in timeline
drag clip#2 over it
apply plugin on clip#2
in the Inspector, select rate, every 1 frame to every 5 frames....

I'm not responsible for any epilepsy side-effects!!

... pulled the installer, too wacky, now 'manual mode':
dl, unzip , creates two folders, you have to drag manually into ~/Movies/Motion Templates/Effects

stupid question but how do I install it in FCPX, copy files on plugin folder ? and then search for Micro cut ?

obviously, my one-liner on top of each of my posts here is too short :lol:

• download the file, a .zip, it should appear in your Downloads folder
• double-click it => it 'un-zips' => you see a folder ks_MICROCUT
• in Finder, goto/open Movies, Motion Templates, Effects
• drag the folder ks_MICROCUT into it
• (re)launch FCPX, unde Effects you notice the new plugin

Hey Karen, I downloaded the file. But It looks like in the Media tab where there would usually be images to display the effect, isn't there. Is there anyway you could uploaded another file containing all the contents? Thank you1

If you reflect to the 'large.png' file in the package - this is 'there' but shows a transpaent empty frame.. When the plugin is installed, the 'small.png' shows the icon with red µ sign, and with a selected clip in a project, skimming over the icon shows the 'flicker' effect....

All fine, all intentional ..

Hello Guess its not working with 10.3 as after installing..I cant find the folder in effects .
can you help.

sorry for any inconvenience … MicroCut does work in 10.3 ....
please follow new advice in my updated original post.....

Just downloaded this...VERY interesting effect. Works GREAT for me. (after rendering). I can see several uses for this.
