Free Cartoon Effect for Final Cut Pro X from FordeeTV

A Free FCPX Effect - Cartoon Effect from FordeeTV.

The Cartoon Effect creates a cartoon or comic book styled effect which you can apply to your footage. You can control the 'Dot's Overlay'; it's Position, Size and Rotation. You can select the Dot's blend mode and the effects brightness. You also have the ability to apply a framing effect to your clip and control its width and angle. When applying the framing effect you can toggle the background transparency as well.

Hope you guys find this effect useful... I'm always working on new plugins, check my site for more info, along with other useful tutorial videos on Audio, Video and Graphics.

P.S. All of the installers have been revamped and streamlined. If you download any effects from FordeeTV now they will use the new simple interface!

Enjoy!!!

Nice work, Fordee.
Thanks for the thorough tutorial too.

Your additional cartoon caption pro plug also looks great.

Thanks TrixTrax!

Have a great day!

Hi,

In case you don't know, you can make the shadow angle consistent even if you transform the shape or parent group by checking the 'Fixed Source' checkbox in the Shadow settings panel.

Good luck with your effects, both free and commercial!

@alex4d

Thanks for the tip Alex, I'm not sure Fixed Resolution would make the difference here, because of the Groups/Layers I used to flip the axis and apply the drop shadow were different, but I'll look into it.

Thanks again, have a great day Alex.
