Interenting video although I found the four screens behind him very distracting. Had to just listen and not look at the screen.

That video was the intro to a series where I show the process of recording as well. If you want to watch everything go to this playlist:

"Visual learner" is not a thing, sorry.

Certainly hope that this is a "joke" and not troll comment?
Ironic for a post on a visual medium teaching/learning new skills.

Of course "visual learner" is one of the major recognized learning methods.

Happy Editing

Actually no, it's not, and there's no science behind learning modes, it's not a thing, seriously. Not a joke, not trolling, just clearing up myths.

…… there's no science behind learning modes, it's not a thing, seriously. …

there is, ask your local teacher. or, if you prefer reading:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Study_skills

Speaking of myself: the fastest way, to teach me new skills, is showing me things, that "a pic is worth a 1000 words"-thing. Your mileage may differ…

And, no, Ben is no troll, in his next post he will tell us, he's an Apple Certified Trainer, and in charge at a TV-Station… so, my post is not a thing. Or whatever. He's a valuable member of our community, with lots of knowledge, he likes to share with us.

But not visually… ;)

My degree is in educational psychology, I come from a long line of professional educators, and no, that article does not state any science that backs up the theory. It has been debunked so many times it's to funny. But that's all I'll say about it. Some myths will never die. Again, no Karsten, as much as I respect you, that article does not show any science backing up the "I'm a visual learner" claptrap.

Carry on...

Is there any science to suggest that "visual learning" is not a thing for certain individuals?

Unfortunately, I had to end this tutorial after 2 minutes because the background disturbed me strongly and the head floating in space was very irritating.
