How to make an offline copy of the help system

Although it is possible to turn the help file into a PDF, I have come up with a method to make a copy of the whole help system that can be used when your computer is disconnected from the web, or even copied to a mobile phone.

The help system has also has many internal links...

...and a better search system than the PDF version.

The tutorial for creating the offline help system is over at my blog .

As for how to get it on your phone... it depends on which phone you have, and which file sharing apps you've got.

Great tip, thanks Alex! I am amazed at your ingenuity and dedication!
I did have one issue with this.... I'm using Safari 5.1 and the default to save the links was to save as a Web Archive. Once I changed this to Page Source, all was well!
Keep up the good work....
Chris

Thanks Chris for the info about saving web archive. I opened help.apple.com/finalcutpro/mac/10.0/ via the Safari 5.0 on my Mac, and I saved the file as web archive. I got most of the user manual, but no images. The link for show more does not work either.

The info Alex provided would be a little bit complicated, but it is worth a trial.
