How to do this effect with text?

The beginning with the 2015 text. He used FCPX, I need this for a grad video

1- Place title clip on top of video clip.
2- Change the Blend Mode for the title clip to Stencil Alpha.
Done.

To do this over another video clips:
1- Place the two clips you used above, into a Compound Clip.
2- Pace that CC on top of your third video clip, which will serve as the background.
Done.

or, if you're shy of compounds as me, stack the bg-clip simple on top, and compo 'behind'...

Put in a CC to stop the Blend Mode from effecting other clips. Never fear Compounds, they're our very good friends.

... but reading posts, where people put compounds into compounds into compounds, or use a compound in diff. projects and change it in one, or use compounds as 'track replacement' or 'precomp' or … … … . . . … … …

I am trying to do this effect as well.

I have followed the instructions, but i want to add several videos, and then the stencil mode fade out in order that the following videos shows normal

how can i do that?
