Stromotion in FCPX?

Stromotion in FCPX? was created by Stryker
I searched but did not find anything. I may not have the right name for the effect.
It is where you leave behind a bunch of freeze frames as the person (or thing) keeps going.
Does anyone know of a tutorial to do this in FCPX or Motion?
I am just starting to learn motion. I am guessing it will include some heavy masking.
Thanks

in Motion.
you create a layer per freeze.
masking (Motion has a bezier tool)
done.
you have to consider on RECORDING doing this trick.
for some other forum, I made this 'wrong' demo:
too close to subject = not enough room for the freezes
(masking was plain squares, no bezier, just quick'n dirty)

… what's more fun: future freeze!
just one mask, but adding motion-tracking to create the 'hand camera shake' ... :woohoo:

Depending on the clip's content, in Motion check out the Echo and Trails filters in the Time collection.

Karsten, that is it. I will dig in to Motion more then. Thanks.
Ben I will look at both you suggestions too. I am just learning Motion so I tend to get overwhelmed and lost.
