brightness correction

so i was filming a video and it had been a while since ive filmed a video like this. Now that i am in the editing phase i realized that i forgot to press the lock focus button or AE-L/AF-L button on my nikon d7000. So as each clip plays out, depending on what is happening in the shots the brightness will change throughout a single clip multiple times. I am curious to see if there is an option to lock the brightness for an entire clip? If anyone understands what im saying could someone help me out and tell me how i could go about doing this?

Since FCPX won't allow for keyframing it's own color correction tools, you'll have to use a third party plugin, and keyframe the contrast/exposure controls.
