I have a client I did a video for and now they are asking if I can send them a version at 640 x 480 crop with their logos re adjusted to fit inside the new dimensions..They told me it is to put it on TV station or something...
My timeline and video is 1920 x 1080 shot with Canon 5DII
How can I set the crop mark in the editor to be 640 x 480??? I can adjust one side and it tells me left: 480 but I cannot get the top and bottom to tell me what size... In other words How can I get crop signs or dimensions so that I know I have a 640x480 crop...? Also how would I be able to do the same and export the .mov out at those dimensions... Again this a already edited video that I need to just crop and move the logos inside the cropped area...
Thanks in advance for any ideas.. Did a search but cannot come up with anything. Is there any way of making the crop custom size?

I think they are asking for a "re-sized", not a "crop". That is an Internet frame size, and a very old size at that. Back when the web was really slow, and I rode a dinosaur to work. Even smaller than standard def TV. Makes no sense. But clients rare do.

Duplicate the Project (Command-D). Go into the Project Properties (wrench icon button bottom right of Inspector > Properties) for this new copy. Change "Video Properties" to "Other", then change "Resolution" to 640x480. Click OK.

Now you can shift around logos, titles, etc. to fit into the new frame size.

Hey Ben Thanks Will try it out.. Not at the computer right now but will try it.. Thanks for your response...Yeh I thought it was a really weird size also and not usual request from my client.. It complicated because I already had everything edited. Weird that there is no kind of restraint or where I can manually put in the crop size in the marker or marquee... Maybe a fix they can do in a future update.
Thanks again and I'll let you know how it worked out...
Eric
