Hello ! Im a amateur / semi pro videographer!
Im shooting with 5d3 and sony fs 700, and editing mostly in fcpx
Since i used fcpx ive try many different export settings and way to export my work and compress it the best for vimeo!!! Heres a very clear/sharp video i saw on vimeo and i would like very much to know the perfect export settings to get that quality

Heres the example : vimeo.com/46186716

A tutorial with compressor or any other compress program would be gr8t

Same thing, just keep the frame size at 1080 in the settings.

Why can´t you just share(master file) your project choosing H.264?

hmmm - that quality?

The poster allows download of original file .... it's 1080/25p, h264 with some breathtaking 34mbps!

... and the dissolve at the beginning still shows terrible banding.-
That's not quality ....

The 'quality' - imho!! - is based upon a) eye candy, b) superb cinematography:

a sunset at the coast .... so, .... <yawn>

no, not yawn, me jealous! ;)
but ... the sun is the brightest piece, but still shows some color, the foreground 'frames' the scene, and although in shadow, shows detail.-

=> excellent 'photography', excellent material (motive and cam)' plus wise use of scope 'n tools. :P

but, 34mbps for a h264? 10mbps would result same 'quality' .......- I dare to say!

I think, please correct me if I'm wrong, if you are not a Pro user in Vimeo, your 1080 quality is being downscaled to a smaller size. So, if you want the best quality, you have to be Vimeo Pro user.
