Hello,
I dont know what is up with Motion but I get quite a few quirks as I work.
Latest is not being able to select a font properly.
In the inspector it shows a unique font and won't change it as I scroll.

Sometime I can't change my points on a path without moving the whole path.
And other small things that are getting quite annoying.
These happen randomly as I work.
I have to relaunch to get it back to normal.

Am I the only one having this?
I havent modified preferences.

I am on a new Mac Studio with practically no plugins.
I dont see why I would have to reinstall something that should work normally.

I dont want to go from irritating to frustrating !

OMG!! I'm waiting for my new MacStudio and your post is not good news . I hope you can fix soon these Motion issues and please keep us informed

It might just be me. So I wouldn't be preoccupied.
What is more difficult is the randomness of this.
Hard to point out anything special I am doing.
Like the font issue just popped up.
It works now.
