How to get FCPX sounds into Motion?

Hi,

okay I'm aware this might be a beginner's question but I couldn't find an answer through Google or the search on this forum.

So, how do I get sound effects from FCPX to Motion? The only workaround I came up with was to export the sound as an AAC from FCPX to iTunes and then I would be able to get it into Motion through the library.

Surely, I must be missing something very obvious here, this can't be the only way.

If you're talking about the .caf files in the FCPX library, they're located in /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Final Cut Pro Sound Effects/

You should be able to import them into Motion.

Safest thing to do is export them from FCPX as AIFF files, bring that directly in to Motion.

Even easier than just importing them, I just noticed that I can drag the sound effects directly from FCPX's audio browser into a Motion project.
