I NEED help with a title/blending problem

Sooo Im pretty new to Motion 5 and FCP. Im trying to edit a music video that I shot and I am having A LOT of problems with the title in the intro..

First of all let me show you an example of what I am trying to do. If you have a chance pull up a new tab and go to Vimeo and search WE LEFT by RUFUS.

I want exactly that title effect just for the intro of my video. I figure it has something to do with blending but I have no clue how to cut out the space inside my text so the video can show through behind it. I know FCP has a title effect called "Knock Out" but I dont like it because it moves. I just want the title to sit there.

To add to the problem, I need a couple letters to be dissolved in after about 5 seconds into the intro.

So it would kinda look like this:

BEYOND
OU R
DREAMS

and then after about 5 seconds the rest of the letters would dissolve in and would look like this

BEYOND
OUTSIDERS
DREAMS

All while the video is being played out of the stencil of the letters. So the background would be black and the video is playing through the stencil of the text.

I hope I was able to convey the image of the video clearly.. but if I didnt you could pull up the RUFUS video and it will explain exactly what I want.
