TOPIC:
How to make sounds occupy different auditory space? 26 Nov 2015 01:56 #70961
I am making a short rather abstract film. I've many sounds layered in...some natural sounds (footsteps, wind, etc), other musical sounds. Is it possible (is there an equalizer, etc, in Final Cut Pro 7) to designate where each sound seems to be coming from? That is, is it possible to have the footsteps seem to be coming from behind and to the left (for example) and the wind howling above?
I am very much an amateur in FCP7, but if there is an equalizer or "effect" that would allow me to do this please let me know! Thanks for any help! |

It is possible and extremely easy in FCPX but you'll need a surround system to hear it. If you only have two speakers (left and right), you won't be able to hear it. You'll be able though to play between the left and right and their distance to the ear.
In FCPX start playing with the following: go to your audio clip, click on Pan, and choose a different Pan mode. Complete tutorial here: |
