how do i disable the equalizer for an audio clip? im doing a music video and the audio is already perfect. but everytime i import it the equalizer is set to "flat" and sounds messed up and i dont see how to disable it.

The EQ is disabled unless you switch it on. Flat means no EQ is applied by the application.

Tom's spot on. Flat EQ means nothing at all is being done to the music. And the EQ is there even in the Browser, not just the Timeline. Thus, if you hear a change in the sound once you drop it into a timeline, there's something else going on.
