FCP 10.6.8 Released today

Maybe this will solve a number of related freezing issues.

I haven't updated for some time. With all the comments I see, I will be waiting a bit longer !

Yes, It is a risky business...

I updated to 10.6.8 today and had about 6 hours of editing with 3 crashes and several Viewer freeze-ups that solved itself after 5-6 seconds of skimming over video in the browser or effects panel. So better but definitely not there yet.

Apple is no longer competent. I would avoid updating. And then switch to Resolve who has actual smart people making it (but bad GUI people).

Where are we with these updates, I am still on 10.6.5, I heard 10.6.6 destroyed some well known plugins, is it safe to upgrade or is it still a mess?

I'm always super excited to be able to work with such amazing software, that is cutting edge, while I maintain proper backups and work flows. If it works, dont fix it.
It is common knowledge that apple updates are a bit risky, so if you are working and everything is fine and your plug-ins are golden, dont touch it. 
If you have the ability to update and experience cutting edge and are not in the middle of a project than cool. Otherwise if you are in it and do not have something important coming up - dont push your self to the edge.
