How did I do this with my text? (Forgot how I edited my own frigging video!)

So I am looking at a previous video of mine where I had the text "Our band is done" but it appears from the centre and goes out as each word enters. I thought it was a typewriter (built in) plugin but it only goes by letter and doesn't come from the middle (goes left to right). I swear I don't have a title plugin. How did I do this? Can't be keyframes because each word would be differently placed. Driving me crazy as i've tried to recreate it for the last hour! Thank you in advance.

Build In/Out -> Custom ?

I played around with this too but there is no way because I didn't know FCP very well. But I'm trying to recreate it with Custom but it's not doing the center to left/right effect. Ugh!

The key is the negative tracking, I believe, in order to get things to shift to the left for each new word. Here are settings I used to achieve the same behavior, though the speed needs to be tweaked a bit:
