HELP - serious bug Titles/Generators! (FCPX 10.6.5 / Monterey on M1)

Hi forumfellows.
Massive issue with Titles & Generators! ever since we updated to 10.6.5.
90% of the time Titles/Generators do not display at all! (Everything else seems to be ok). Quitting and reopening multiple (many many!) times eventually seems to fix it. But only for a while.
We uninstalled FCPX, trashed all prefs etc and reinstalled from scratch. No change, same issue.
No issue with disk space or RAM, no bugs with other apps.
Also doesn't depend on the project... same issue with brand new libraries / events / projects.
Anybody else had similar issues either now or in the past?
Grateful for any advice... cheers!

Haven't heard this before. What's the machine / config / hardware spec?
Anything else running while FCP is open?
Do you use Chrome?
Anti-virus / cleaner software of any kind?

If Chrome has been installed, the keystone launch daemons and agents, which are running whether or not Chrome has been launched, can apparently overwhelm the video toolbox and break FCP. To completely remove Chrome and all the cruft Google installs (just trashing the app is not enough) follow the directions at
chromeisbad.com
. Then, delete FCP and reinstall from the AppStore.

Thanks for reply.
Mac M1 Silicon, 16GB ram, on MacOS Monterey.
No Chrome, not even installed.
Other apps running, yes often. But issue is independent of them. happens with standalone FCPX. Never happened before, used FCPX for at least 10 years on various machines, not seen this issue.
No antivirus or cleaners installed or running.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this. Having endless issues with 10.6.5 around titles, shape generators on the edit i'm working on. Have done similar things in the past and no issues. Running M1 Macbook Pro and latest macOS etc.

Yep - massive problems here too. Just trying to lay in basic titles for some subtitling on a 2-minute piece. Won't display, wrong titles showing, etc. 10.6.5 on Ventura 13.1 on 2017 5K iMac 3.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 with 64GB of RAM. 10.6.5 has serious bugs it seems.
