I'm looking for a new Mac, and I consider the iMac 24". I now have an iMac 27", and I love the size. Does any of you gone from 27" to 24"? Does this work for you, or is 24" a bit too small? I don't like editing on my 13" Macbook, because it's way too small. Not that 24" is small, but is it not optimal?

In order to get 27" a need to buy Mac Studio and monitor separately. Not what I had in mind right now.

Any advice?

I have gone from 24 to 27.
If you work on the road then I guess 24 is a big monitor to move around.
At home I can't imagine going back to 24.

27 is good for me.
It also depends on how you work.
A bigger monitor would be to big for my work setup.

And yes, Mac studio is quite nice (just got one) but your budget will feel it if it wasn't planned.

I've got a 27" iMac, and an M1 Mini with 34" LG. I don't think I could go back to a 24" daily driver.

The Mini is far better than I expected, fwiw.

Thank you for your responses. This is helpful. I might be moving away from the 24 inch. I’m afraid is to small for my work. I might however go for dual monitor setup, but not sure this will fork for me. I really need to test 24 inch a bit more before deciding what to buy.

I went from a 15” MBP to a 24” stand alone monitor when I got an M1 MacMini. The monitor fits my workspace nicely and has plenty of screen real estate for my work. Remember that most monitors have several different screen resolution and refresh rates to choose from. This allows a person to dial in the amount of display area that works best for them.

I guess 24" will feel small going down from 27". Dial down is a good tip. But then everything will become smaller. But it's worth a shot. I need to go test it.
