Is distributing multiple clips evenly at once possible?

Does anyone know of a clever way to distribute several clips (in this case title generators) evenly so that there's the same amount of time between each clip?  I'd like to do this without having to manually move each clip.

Here is  one way:

1- Select all titles
2- Do CTRL+D, enter a duration number to slightly shorten all titles. That handles the case of two adjacent titles for below procedure.
3- With titles selected, do CMD+G to put titles in secondary storyline; there will be some gap clips between them
4- With secondary storyline selected, use timeline index to select all gap clips
5- Resize gap clips with CTRL+D, then enter the duration
6- Remove secondary storyline by selecting it and doing SHIFT+CMD+G
7- Titles will drop into place, evenly spaced, separated by the duration of the previously-existing gap clips
8- If titles are too short you can select them all and do CTRL+D to lengthen them

Thanks.  This is pretty clever and I see where you're going with this, but it didn't work for me.
I tried several clips back to back.
Changing the durations of the title clips did shorten them, but the magnet timeline keeps them right next to one another.
CMD+G doesn't do anything for me.  I use CMD+Option+Up Arrow to lift the clips to a secondary storyline
At this point there's still no space between the clips using gaps.

You initially asked about title generators. What Joema describes works for me. It also seems to work for connected a-v clips. If the a-v clips on in the primary storyline, changing the duration of all of the clips doesn't leave any gaps.

When the clips are connected but not in a connected storyline this works. If you select clips that are side by side in the primary storyline and "lift" them they go into a connected storyline. You'd need to break apart those clips before changing their durations.

Now, if the clips are side by side on the primary storyline, you need to switch to the Position tool ("P") and then change the duration (to a shorter amount, if only slightly) of the selected clips. That should create gap clips in between the originally selected clips. Then, you can select those gap clips and adjust their duration. But, to maintain the spacing of the clips on the primary storyline you'd need to lift them from the primary storyline.

Thanks DavisS. Using the P tool was something I did use after my last post as I already knew that would give me the gaps I needed.  I was trying to avoid doing it that way for several title generators and instead find a more automated way, but it seems that makes the most sense.  Perhaps this would be a a useful workflow extension.  I'd love to be able to select any number of title generators and enter a time that's uniform between them so that they're distributed equally.
