Once my video is complete, I go to >share >DVD>settings>hard drive and hit next, it's a .ac3 file rather then ISO or IMG file. When it begins to "share" is goes up to 66% then stops with an error message. Then it saves this funky files I never seen before in a folder.
What am I doing wrong? Any assistants would greatly be appreciated. TY

Your disc never completed unless it has a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder on it. That .ac3 file is the audio portion of the encode that gets mastered & muxed with its .m2v video component. You really should never see it at all. The fact you can see them indicates FCP is choking somewhere along the line and stalled out.
I don't use FCP to master a disc image, using Roxio Toast instead. There's more control over the quality of the disc that way. (These are the DVD files Roxio Toast generates creating an .iso image.)
