If you crop a video to a moving object, in order to keep that moving object visible the crop must be keyframed so the crop 'tracks' the object.
Is there any way to use FCPX's new object tracking feature to that end?

I don't think so, I mean, it won't track masks! What? I guess YouTubers (who think jump cuts are "cool") don't do that level of editing. And since not, get SliceX from Coremelt.
