Huge FCPX nerd here. Just moved my entire studio over to FCPX using Postlab.
We have several projects that will use the same (custom) templates for graphic elements and such.
I have an idea that I could create an elaborate sync solution involving our server, where I create the templates, my template folder is synced to the server, and their computers pull a sync from that folder into their local folder.
Does anyone see an issue with that solution or should I just keep the motion templates in the libraries? Only problem with that is that I want editors to have access to the templates whether they've been used in that library or not.
I don't think there should be any problem doing that ... a few years ago i did use "sugarsynch" to synch my "Motion Templates" folder in 3 difference locations and it work great. I guess your idea is about the same principle . Only some third party commercial material could be a problem.
