Hi there.

New to Final Cut Pro and don't know what I've done here. When I normally move the cursor in the timeline the clip in the window plays along with it with sound.

For some reason, when I move it, it's rooted to the spot and doesn't play. See attached screenshot. Anyone got any ideas? What have I do and how do I fix it?

Thanks

Skimming can be turned on and off with the S key. When it is enabled, you can turn the audio portion of skimming on and off with Shift-S.

You also have Snapping turned on (toggle it off and on with the "n" key).

And you're zoomed in really close.

Try turning off Snapping and see what happens. Toggles Skimming on and off, see what happens.
