We shot against a white backdrop and now we want to key it out. I’m usually able to just use the sample function in keyed to knock out a green screen, but it’s not working as well here. I attached some screenshots to show before and after the keyed. Any suggestions?

Looks very blocky moire artifacts like lost in compression?? Is this video or only a still?
You could try to use the hue/saturation curves to increase separation, but I think you will need to use a shape mask and keyframing.

A luminance key has never been anything else but tricky, particularly in the edges. If you look at the image, you probably say, well, that can't be too hard, but unfortunately software is not yet as sophisticated as it should be. Since roto is what needs to be done, you will be faster with AAEs rotobrush.
