I want to upgrade from El Capitan + FCPX 10.2 to Sierra/High Sierra + FCPX 10.4 but it seems like my monitor calibration profile does not working with Colorsync + FCPX.
I have tried Sierra + FCPX 10.3.4 / 10.4, High Sierra + FCPX 10.3.4 / 10.4 and every combination has this problem.
My config: hackintosh properly configured (Z77, i7 3770, Sapphire 7970), Dell U2711 with .icm calibration profile.
On El Capitan with the old FCPX 10.2 every color is perfect in every program i use.

I searched the answer everywhere i could but it seems like noone experienced this issue.. i hope you can help me.
Tried again with El Capitan. The FCPX 10.2 shows perfect colors, 10.3.4 shows twisted contrasty magenta colors.
It seems like the fcpx stays on the factory default profile and the calibration profile is shown as a layer on top.
Does anyone experienced color issues in the preview window with the latest final cut versions?
After rendering, and opening in quicktime the colors are perfect. But with broken preview inside fcpx i am unable to colorgrade the footages...
From the OS point of view it should not matter if it's not an original Mac, and my build is a popular hackintosh build.
It's like a Dell U2711 or the very same Apple Cinema Display on a Mac Pro with D700.
Im searching for solution, if i find it i will post it here.
Do try to calibrate both using matrix based, and table based profiles. One of the two works on all fcp x versions. Also try v2 and v4 ICC variations. I think table based, v2 icc is the most compatible calibration.
