I have been making a dvd of my band in the studio. As we over dubbed sections on the studio recording I have been uploading the video clips and sync ing the them. I did a pass of editing the video and have been working on it to tweak the edit video clips to my liking. The problem is when I replaced the audio with the final mix that has been master the audio does not play.
I have to goto each cut and turn it back on. WHat The hell! I can't seem to get the audio back on. The video is the only thing I cut up. The audio needs to play all the way through the video. On another music video I did the same thing. I imported the new audio mix by add angle and placed it under the original audio track to line it up correctly. I then drug the new track over the old replacing the old with the new. This worked. Problem is when I lined up the new audio to the oldI deleted the old and did not drag the new over the top of it.

Firstly, it's not obvious to me where you dragged the new audio to, the multicam source or the project you created. You should drag the audio in to the project if everything else is sync'd already.

If not, drag it in to the multicam source and disable all the other tracks, making this the only audio track.

You can do this in the inspector (assuming you are 10.0.6 or later) within the project (not multicam source). Select ALL cuts and then within the inspector, under audio, you can turn on an off any audio track from any camera and/or audio stream. Turn everything else off and your studio mix on.

The downside of doing this in the multicam source is that your studio mix is going to cut just like the video if you ever expand it in the project.

This is why I usually add my audio to the final project as separate tracks.

problem is I had to have the most current audio mix to sync new video clips to new audio.
As we overdubbed to the record(audio) and shot clips(video) of what was recorded
I would have to 1st replace the old audio and 2nd import the new clips. Then sync up.

Why can't you just disable (turn off) the old audio? Why d you have to replace it?

My apologies if I didn't make it clear, you would mute the audio in the multiclip, the add the final audio clip as a Connected Clip to the Multiclip, in the Project Timeline, NOT in the Multiclip Arranger.
