text frustration was created by parkerhqj
I'm trying to create simple credits at the end of a project. It's one page. Executive Producer followed by six or seven spaces, then the name. Next line Producer followed by six or seven spaces, then the name. And so on. If I choose to align the text to the left, it does so, but puts it in the center of the screen and the text disappears at the right. When I align it to the center, it does so, but I lose the left alignment. I'm obviously doing something wrong. How do I set this up so the text stays in the middle of the screen and yet is aligned to the left? thx

Use the Scrolling text template that comes with FCP X.

But I don't want it to scroll. I just want the words to be where I want them and to sit still. There's plenty of real estate on the screen. I don't see why I should have to have a different title for each line of text just to get them to line up. I should be able to justify to the left and go across the screen. There must be an easier way to do this, no? Maybe I'm not explaining it well. Here's what I'm talking about.

Not sure what title template your using but you should definitely be able to do what you are asking. Try using the custom title template. I use that all the time for basic static displays.

Oh - maybe that's it. I was using Basic Title. I'll look into it. Thanks.
