Even if this site is free to use, i think at least downtime and problems could be announced to us

The site have been down more or less all weekend, and since its a valuable source for troubleshooting and important tips, i think the least you could do, is post some info about it on your Facebook page, or at least reply to posts and questions about it there, FB page seems abandoned ...

We did a small maintenance upgrade on Saturday that seemed to go ok, with the exception of the Facebook login button being absent, which was fixed. The update was done at a time of low traffic deliberately.

The site had a holding page published saying it was down and would return, which it did, slightly later than advertised.

Yes we are free and maybe we should put a message up saying we will be offline for a few hours, but we get a small window of time available when our web programmer can get things done. These updates have to be done to ensure the smooth running of the site and the protection from spam/hacking. We really don't won't to be offline for a week again to fix the site as we did earlier in the year when we got hacked.

As for the facebook page, abandoned? have you seen how many posts were made in the last week?

Anyway, back to the site and we think everything is ok, apart from the frontage loading slower than it should do.

Have you seen my comment in your recent post this weekend?

Anyway, i appreciate the site youre running, it was more a suggestion, as people tend to turn to FB nowadays for alternative info, especially when something like this occurs, and would be a natural place to post info regarding this...
