This is a fun lil video we made with some friends to test out the GH5 and matching techniques with a GH4 and C100.

… wow! Very nice photography!
Can you share us a bit about what 'glas' in use, the DoF is incredible narrow, not easy to handle (free hand? Gimbal? Monopod?).… Impressive DR…
Did you grade with FC's own pucks, or with a 3rd party solution?

And I like it when air gets visible (particles), could be more ;)

Thank you for the comment!!

As for the narrow DOF, on those particular shots I used a Canon 50mm 1.2 but was lens whacking which created those interesting flares and DOF. I handheld the camera at 60p for the subtle slow-mo. I'm assuming you were specifically asking about the "lens-whacked" shots due to the narrow DOF.
Other glass used was the Canon 17-55 on the GH5, and Canon 70-200II on the GH4 if I remember correctly.

The "particles" are all practical. This gym was amazing to shoot at, just so much texture, we used the backlight (Arri 650w) to accentuate all the "particles/dust" that were floating around. like I mentioned they were opened for business so we only had access to that one particular setup and section of the gym.

The grading was done entirely in FCPX with the color board along with the Film Convert plugin.

Now that is a [strike]mighty spicy[/strike] … fast lens!
Was lucky, got for my NEX an old Canon FD 50/1.4 in some garage-sale for 40€ … fun, but really tricky to use.

fun fact:
within days I stumble upon 'lens-whacking' the third time … a trend??? ;)
Have to try myself … grew up with film, so a very weird technique to unscrew the lens and keep the cam 'open' …

Thanks for sharing the details, excellent product. Kudos…
