my first trailer was created by kino.haitsma
hi all
I made a trailer for a piano tutorial channel I will be starting soon on youtube...
I am a pianist
and I like to play with FCP.
Any comments/tips would be appreciated...
I see some jagged dissolves that I would expect to be smoother.
(video is unlisted and please do not share, its work in progress)
details:
FCP 7, on Mac Pro.
30 second trailer.
shot on iPhone 5s.
dissolves are fade in/fade out (5 frames, or 3 frames long)
exported from FCP to Quicktime conversion.
H.264
Frame rate: current
Key frames: automatic
Frame reordering checked
Data rate restricted to 8000
optimized for streaming
Multipass encoding
Audio 441. AAC 192kbps best quality

...
That was pretty good, and made me interested to see more.
Should I fault anything, then I think you should overlay the shots of yourself WITHOUT covering the fingering going on, make the fingering background a little smaller and move it to the side?
Didn't notice anything at all re. dissolves.
