Hello, I'm new to the forum here on FCP.CO
I'm looking to reach outside of my friends on facebook to get critics and feedback on the videos I make of my dance crew and others within our community of dancers. Check out the video of my crew below.

Any criticism is appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your passion with us, Torsionography. Have to say I liked it, quite an enjoyable experience. The music works well & it appears you did a good job in matching the dancers moves to the soundtrack. The freeze-frames were the perfect dramatic touch, especially when you caught someone in a one armed handstand. There were a couple of freezes which were rather lackluster in comparison. If an effect like that works well, it doesn't mean you have to use it for every scene or dancer. Remember, it is stopping the action, so save it for the most exciting moves. Sometimes less is more.

With that in mind, I think the whole piece could be trimmed by about 10-15%, making for a tighter presentation, leaving us wanting more. The intro & epilogue can both be cut way back, we all want to get to the dancing. Your man at the end there is very charismatic, so include some of him, but we don't need so much of the vehicle interior shots. Nor do we need the intro to be as long as it is, I'd prune its duration by at least two thirds. Another problem I have with the intro is too many video styles, effects & fonts. This screams amateur. Yes, you have a diverse group, but let us see that in the dancing, not in so many different fonts & templates. When we do finally get to the dancing, it's so dynamic it requires little or no embellishment. In these scenes I applaud your use of restraint, so the dancing isn't upstaged by attempts at video effect cheesiness. Here we really only have the shifts between color, B&W, the freeze & what looks like an occasional light leak.

However, speaking of dynamism, there are a couple of dancers who just don't make the cut. Both the girl & Manstorm come off looking a bit weak & slow. If you really need to showcase a female for your cultural diversity quotient, you better get some more exciting footage of her dancing or work some movie magic on it.

Thanks for sharing. :cheer:
