I'm trying to get unbiased reviews of a FCPX product of mine! Who should I reach out to?

Hey guys,

I run LightLeakLove and have a product I'm trying to get reviewed!

It is an FCPX plugin set called Transition Love which helps you add light leak transitions to your edits easily.

I was wondering who you think I should reach out to when sourcing (unbiased) reviews?

All the very best and Merry Christmas!

Well, for this type of thing, there are no unbiased reviews. Anything that is purely artistic in nature will cause anyone to slant one way or the other. Some folks swear by light leak effects (JJ Abrams), some folks wish it was never used ever again under penalty of death (me).

But, as someone who used to write product reviews professionally for many, many years, I'd just send a trial version (do not give a reviewer a full license for anything, ever) to anyone who will listen. macProVideo, Video Maker magazine, FCP.co, who ever you can. It is simple marketing.

I hate light leaks, but, I think these look pretty good. There's your first professional review.

They look pretty good indeed!
