I updated today to v1.3.2 from v1.2.3 and now Event Manager X will not boot. I contact Philip Hodgetts via email at Assistedediting (he responded within minutes!) and he knew about the error that some customers were getting with the update but does not know the cause or the fix. He suggested I use Terminal to deactivate the quarantine(which allows apps downloaded from the internet to open without checking) but it did not help.

Is anyone else having this problem and if so what is the fix?

I have all of my events and projects hidden except the most recent one I was editing. Now that I am done I am having a heck of a time opening up a hidden project that was hidden by Event Manager X.

I love this program but it has made me forget how to hide and unhide my events and projects.

I thank you in advance for your help.

I know this is of no help. I have the newest update. I just checked mine and it is working fine.

Did you try the "rebuild data base" ?

Event Manager will not boot so I am unable to access the program. I have contacted Philip Hodgetts at Assistediting to ask if, for the time being, I could get the older version 1.2.3.

I have not yet heard back from him.

Thank you for trying to help.

Steve

Move it to the Trash, re-download from scratch. See if that helps. I dunno...

I had the Same problem.

I put it in the trash, had a copy as Backup that I put in applications again.
Still didn't work.

Restarted computer after that.

Then it worked again. Strange.

I had this problem with the previous version, and one before that.

I tried trashing and reinstalling and the installer wouldn't run. Re-downloading the same installer and starting again worked. Damn gremlins.

Had the same issue a few days ago I have been intouch with them and I have had to role back to 1.3.1

I tried the lot removing/replacing just would not launch the App click it looks like its going to launch but nothing happens.

They sent me the 1.3.1 and I have it all working again now :)

Event Manager 1.3.1

Seems to be a bug somewhere for some of us my current os etc is :

OSX 10.8.3
FCPX 10.0.8
MBP 2.6 i7 16GB

Rolling back worked for me but just havent got the time to see what the issue is to many edits to get on with just glad I have it working again.
