Yes, there are some rather usable ones over at www.videvo.net/video/new-year-fireworks/4660/
and again at www.shutterstock.com/ja/video/clip-10314...urce=51471&utm_term= but I can't afford the 80-200 dollars they are asking for.

Many thanks to you both. I was kinda of thinking 1-2 mins. No, it doesn't have to be a generator in fact, it would probably much simpler for the likes of myself. Will google and see what I come up with. Thanks again

We are a Japanese congregation and I want to create a very simple, maybe 2-3 min, clip wishing all those who have supported us during the year for our blog. Does anybody know of a "freebie" or a low-cost "generator" or anything else like that that shows a burst of fireworks to see the end of the year out?

Thanking you in advance and for all the great ideas and help I have gotten during the year from FCP.co

Thank you for your reply. I have the latest version and didnt have much luck burning the output from Compressor. I know you can burn direct to DVD from within FCP X but it doesnt provide the option of chapters etc as far as I could gather. Maybe something Im missing. Will have another go with Toast and see whether I have better luck this time round.

Thank you once again.

I have two files, a .ac3 and .m2v. How and what software can I use to burn these to a DVD disk. I know I used the old versions of some FCP software - ?studio? if my guess is right. But I guess those days are long gone. Can anybody suggest what else I could use please that would allow me to create a tasteful menu and not just the run of the mill DVD output from FCP X itself.

Thanking you in advance.

Thank you for your reply. I had thought of the same thing this afternoon and tried the two following things. I changed the volume name to:

1. file 3 which didnt work because I guess it was too long. But in English anyway.
2. file 2 worked on a shorter version of roughly the same thing. I had wanted the longer form but I guess beggers cant be choosers.

So yes, you were right.

Thank you.

I have just finished my project and using "share" am trying to write to DVD. However, I can't change the "volume name" for soma reason or other. Am trying to use 聖ヨハネ会75周年 (sorry its Japanese I know) but it keeps reverting to a plain '75' as you can see in the file below. Have tried trashing preference just on the off chance that it might help but no go. Can anybody please help or suggest what I may do to rectify this.

Thanking you

Thank you for this advice. I have to add that I have been using FCP X for several years now. Right from the old versions. I have also done several rather long projects (long in terms of 29min documentaries) I have done a basic tutorial years ago but with the software often upgrading I figure there are still plenty of things that I could re-learn. You mention the "Ripple Training FCPX tutorial". Is this really the best available? What about Lydna or some of the others? Is there something a little better than the really basics available. Or do you think I could really do with a re-learn from the very, very start?

PS I am using a Japanese FCP X which maybe one of the reasons for my stupidness

Thanking you once again

Thank you both for your input. I have been using a magic mouse and now after reading something over at OSXDaily I think I have been accidently hitting the trackpad at times which maybe the cause of my problems.

osxdaily.com/2017/01/05/disable-built-in-trackpad-macbook/

I am not in the habit of using the trackpad as probably the rest of you are so I have diabled the trackpad and will see how it goes. Yes FCPX.guru, I will do, as you suggest, and get my hands on the Ripple Training FCPX tutorial. Although it wont be until I have finished my current project and got a few hours to spare.

Thank you to the both of you

Sorry for the constant posts, however, Im still in the process of learning FCP X . This one deals with a constant changing size in the timeline. This is random and automatic. It is extremely annoying when you have to stop editing and resize the size of the timeline. I have included a file to show you what I mean. Is this a fault of FCP X or is there a setting whereby I can prevent this from happening. As I said, it is extremely annoying.

Thank you in advance
