I'm mixing masking and rotoscoping. So instead of rotoscoping the Lego man jumping, he has rotoscoped out the wires holding the Lego man jumping?
The diving part, where the Lego people is diving. Is it just masking out? It sure doesn't look like it. I have seen some Lego stop motion where masking is applied, and it's bad. This one looks really good. Can it be anything else than masking out?
Hmm, I thought I narrowed it down.
The goal is to make a viral video. A video that is picked up by media. E.g. national newspaper. They rather want a video they can post, than writing an article.
I will make my story short:
My mom died of cancer 15 years ago. The years to follow friends and co-workers got cancer. Luckily, they all survived. My curiosity for cancer was growing. I want to find out why!
I moved to another city, and had I save job for 12 years. At the end I decided to follow my dreams, and get a degree.
I quit my job at the age of 35 to go for a university degree.
I had to fix my grades from high school. And that was tough! Grown man starting a new life.
Went for Biomedical Laboratory Scientist.
Before starting school, I decided to go from a cyclist to a runner. I needed something else to motivate me. So, in order to keep me motivated, I decided to run up and down Kilimanjaro.
That's when the idea for the fundraiser came up. Why don't I raise some money while doing this?
That's my story, and now I need to combine my grown up life with this. Being a dad, boyfriend, student, colleague, ambitious athlete who exercise 10-12 hours a week, friend.
It's all about giving the viewers attention to my project, mainly the fundraiser. That's one of the reason why I'm running up and down Kilimanjaro. That's not something everyone does. I want to do something else to create headlines in order to get attention towards the fundraiser. I want to inspire and motivate. I keep hearing that I do, not only from friends, but from all over, so I guess it somewhat working.
The video must be catchy, not boring shit. Obvious
Perhaps the video can start with a clip of my moms tombstone.
I need brainstorming and creative ideas.
I have this project where I'm going for Norwegian record. Up and down Kilimanjaro in less than 10 hours (yes, it's possible). I'm also doing a fundraiser for the Norwegian Lung Cancer union. The media in Norway doesn't seem to find this interesting enough. I get some advice to do most on my own, that way it's easier for the media to publish it. By that, I want to create a really creative and catchy video which will go viral. I know, it's easier sad than done.
I'm going to Africa January 21st, and will be running February 2nd. So I don't have a lot of time.
Do you have any advice for me? What is creative? What do people want to see? What will fly by itself?
I'm a busy person. I'm a student 100%, I have a job, I have a girlfriend and a 3 month old kid, and I exercise 10-12 hours a week. Including this I have a blog where I update my progress, and I administering the fundraiser. I would really love to combine all this into a humorous video. Just let people now what kind of person I am. I want to inspire people to get things done. I want people to laugh. I want them to cry (you know, cancer is a bitch!). And I want the fundraiser to go viral.
I have around 400 friends on Facebook, so I need people to share. But it has kind of met a dead end. So I need more!
So, any help from you creative souls?
Nothing on Movavi worked. Not even the timeline, so I wasn't able to copy the timeline into FCP. They ended up just creating the video with that watermark. It was ok.
Thanks for your reply and effort!
Ok, I have this friend who is totally newbie in the editing world. He has a little project he wants to share with his class. He chose Movavi as his editing program. He has only 7 days before the program shuts down. If you create the movie during the trial period, you will get a watermark, including some other things. He was planning on sharing the movie directly from the timeline. Sadly it it got more than 7 days before he could finish, so the only way he can share the movie with the class, is the buy Movavi.
I wanted to help him, so I downloaded Movavi, imported his clips, and bang. I got the thing up and running. Unfortunately, it doesn't work as it should. I can see the clips in the timeline, but I can't play it. I was planning on creating the movie in FCPX, but since I can't play the movie in Movavi, I'm not sure where the clips start or end.
So, is there any way to convert the Movavi project file to FCPX, or in some other way solve this problem (of course without paying). Just to make this clear, we are not thiefs, and we do not looking for a way to hack the program. He is a student, and he will most likely never edit any time soon, so paying is sort of not worth it at the moment.
It looks like the trial period follows the project file, since I can't edit it.
It's a blood glass tube, so it's a small and easy object to use. When I get my head around, I guess I don't even need green screen. I can just take a picture of the tube, and edit it on the video. But I'm not sure how to do it. But I guess it fairly easy?
It's been a long time since I've been filming and editing. So busy with everything. Anyhow. We are doing a project in school, and we are going to throw something across the class room. I'm now going to film this object flying to its destination. At first I was thinking a green morphsuit would do the trick, but since I'm moving my camera, it's not going to be that easy. I might film in 4K, and do a zoom, but I don't know it it will be good enough.
So, how can i do it? It doesn't have to be good. It's simply for fun, but with some touch of good work. And, it can't be tedious work.
Thanks! So it doesn't matter if I edit 4K in 1080 timeline? I don't lose any quality when sharing the project in 1080?
I have a 4096x2160 clip which I want to zoom. But when I do, the letterbox disappear. So, I want to zoom inside this natural crop. How do I do it?
The lens I'm using is a 100-400mm Sigma. The stabilization is far from good, and the Canon as beyond better. But since I mainly use this for timelapse, Sigma can hold focus much longer than Canon.
I actually see some bad 4K footage from 35mm as well. So, I'm not very impressed. I will go for a monopod for sure. I will also consider the GH5 for video with longer focal range.
Thanks for your input!
Many thanks, joema for your great answer! I'll make sure to take a closer look to the plugin you mention. And clearly handheld is with tele is no longer an option (if I want to continue shooting 4K).
