Yeah, I've seen a few videos when I tried the trial version. Think I'm going to have to see those again. If you don't use what you learn, you will eventually forget it.
No I didn't know VGTV used FXP- That's kinda interesting. Wonder how they organize their work. It's going to take some time for me to get things organized and get a feel for everything. It all works very differently compared to Resolve.
I have ordered a new Criusial MX 500 1TB SSD to upgrade my old iMac 27. And was thinking of doing a clean install of Mac OS but I'm not sure how to install Mac OS on a empty drive. I have timemachine backups but I don't want to restore all the crap i have on here now. Any suggestions?
I am brand new at FCPX. I just bought it in the AppStore about 2 hours ago.
I have an old iMac 27 from 2012, which is fast apart from the harddrive. So I've been using my Windows laptop for editing videos using Resolve. I've been thinking about buying Resolve for a few weeks on Windows because of the slow harddrive in my iMac. So early today I decided to buy Resolve. But it turns out you can't just buy a serialcode to register the Studio version. You have to go to a thirdparty reseller and buy there, and they will send you a USB stick that unlocks the program. I'm not a very patient man so instead I purchased FCPX instead. And after that I bought a 1TB SSD and a adapter bracket for the iMac.
Anyways, I'm not an experienced editor, I've only had 1 paid video job and then I used LumaFusion on my iPad Pro to edit. And it works great. Ok, enough ranting.
My name is Robert, I'm 42 years old and live in Bergen, Norway.
Does anyone have a PDF of a shortcut cheatsheet for FCPX I could download?
