Glad I could help
With this FCPX generator, you can animate an arrow with a write-on. You can control the position, direction, duration of the write-on, and even make it a dash line.
Tell me what you think of the controls.

Here's a example of what it does : www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKS9xCa94is&list...vHAutTQ93CKp6r9ksEfw
To install the Generator, unzip the file and drag and drop the folder in: Movies>Motiontemplates>Generators
Hope someone find this useful
PS: In dash mode the playhead must be moved for the position of the arrow to update.
Unfortunately I have no website yet
Most of my work is for internal use only. The only things I did externally are a few promo videos or tutorials for customers.
I did most of the videos of this youtube channel. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RICAlqzP13Y
It was a small project in my company (blizzard). The goal was to provide informative/promotional videos to customer in a funny (and a bit quirky) way while keeping the production under a week (most of the time).
I'm fairly new to professional editing. Always been one of my hobby but I never thought it could became my job.
About two years now.
It became my main compositing tool (still using AE for a few things)creating templates for FCPX is really handy.
I'm a big fan of your plugins by the way.
It's my first time posting on this forum, I've been a long time reader though.
For my first post I wanted to share this effect I built in motion and that I use a lot when I'm editing some corporate training.
There's probably a ton of magnifying glass effect already available out there, I didn't check to be honest.
Don't hesitate to give me feedback on the controls and the construction of the effect.
Hope someone will find it useful!
