Ulti.Media has released an app for Final Cut Pro X that can split a movie into separate shots or add a marker at each shot change. On sale at only $6, that's a lot of functionality that could save a lot of time.

These are challenging times, so it comes as no surprise that Future Media Conferences has moved the entire FCPX Creative Summit online this year. The new FCPX Global Virtual Summit will now be online in November.

The recent 10.4.9 update to Final Cut Pro X was long-awaited news. However, there were a few things that it broke and a few things that were incompatible. Some good news for Canon, some bad news for Sony.

Today Apple has released an update to Final Cut Pro X to 10.4.9. It brings new proxies, proxy relinking, media management and more. Also an update to Motion gives the ability to import 3D models- Wow!

Color Finale has to be the most popular third party colour grading plugin for Final Cut Pro X. Today, Color Trix has announced that a new workflow extension beta will become available that will allow FCPX editors to grade remotely.

This new app for Final Cut Pro X comes with a story. A joint venture between myself and Philip Hodgetts & Greg Clarke at Intelligent Assistance, Creator’s Best Friend all started from wondering why a YouTube status bar was in sections.
