In this week's new episode of MacBreak Studio, the guys take a look at building 3D objects in Motion using mObject. They have also announced a live round table chat this Thursday featuring some well known FCPX experts.
3D in Motion, well it has a good go with the extrude filter or by multiplying up layers using the replicator, but it's a big cheat and won't work once you start moving the camera.
In this new episode of MacBreak Studio, Mark Spencer shows Steve Martin how to build 3D text and objects in Motion using MotionVFX's mObject. We have covered mObject before here on FCO.co, make sure you checkout their playlist of tutorials if you would like to go more in-depth after watching Mark's tour around the interface.
In addition to this week's episode, Ripple Training has announced a round table discussion this Thursday, featuring not only Steve and Mark, but FCP.co contributors Michael Garber and Sam Mestman too. The live show kicks off at 6pm PST 19th of June. This is slightly awkward for us on this side of the pond as the holding page actually says that the event starts on Friday at 1 AM. We will post the recording when we can!
As a few people have pointed out on our Forum, could this live event be a post Final Cut Pro X 10.1.2 update special? It has now been the longest period between updates, so you would assume one should be around the corner. We will be hitting that update button in the Mac App Store many times on Thursday!
