My personal experience, had developer beta running for months on iMac Pro, no real issues to report. 4 Macs now upgrades and no real issues to report. Can't find anything FCPX related apps or plugins not compatible yet. IMHO it's about the most stable upgrade to date. Will be interested to see the experience of others.

For those who want to switch between light and dark modes regularly, check out the NightOwl app, very nice.

We've tested with Mojave at CoreMelt and are not aware of any problems. As usual make sure you have our latest versions. More info: coremelt.com/blogs/news/macos-mojave-and-coremelt-plugins

Apparently Screenflow needs an update. Not FCPX, but I know a lot of people use screenflow

I tried to find information online if there are any issues with FCPX and Mojave but could not really find any. And so far everything seems to run smooth for you FCPX.guru and even during beta testing. Were there any known issues with the Beta Tests?
I have a BM eGPU which works OK, were issues reported there with Mojave if you happen to know?

If not I might just backup and update. I am always in between projects, because I am editing long format features and docs, often working in the evening, so I am keen on the dark mode for the other apps like mail and so on...
But no critical delivery the next days or weeks.

thanks for letting me know

ScreenFlow 8 (paid upgrade) makes it Mojave compatible. And on that note, for simple screen movie captures, the new capabilities in QT play are really great, if you don't need the SF specific editing tools.

MotionVFX has been running the BMD eGPU with their amazing mO2 plugin with great success in Mojave. I've not been able to find any reports of issues with public release of Mojave with BMD eGPU, but it just released yesterday, so I'd give it time.

Thanks for the info!

Yes, it is probably more reasonable to wait a couple of days to see if some reports are coming up with issues.

It would be great if the forum members here could post a short comment of their experience with FCPX / Mojave instead of "no news is good news" :P

Mojave seems to work pretty well, except when you are working in a collaborative environment. We have discovered driver issues (for 10GbE to Thunderbolt adapters), inconsistent performance over SMB, indexing issues, and large variations in performance. These issues are typically addressed quickly, either with a driver update from the adapter manufacturers or with a dot (10.14.1) release from Apple.

ScreenFlow 8.1 released the same time as Mojave ensures best compatibility.

That is surprising, given the fact that Mojave was in beta for quite a while? (I have fxfactory pro but rarely use their plugins)

The update reset my import preferences so be careful to check when you decide to update. I usually don't copy to library or ever optimize on import but these were checked when I did an import after updating today.

Seems FCPX does in fact work with eGPU now. Yay! Now to find someone who'll buy me one.

Dear Forum,

Any advice If I could boot and run Mojavi from external SSD because the iMac 5K (late 2015) I use come with SATA HD and I heard it has some issues running High Sierra or later OS.

Second, has Mojavi any issues with Paragon NTFS for MAC 15 ?

Much appreciated for the support,
Soran.

Misinformation, there are some drives compatible with the new APFS drive formatting, and some are not. The installers are very smart and know how to handle it. Upgrade, Mojave knows if your drive is compatible or not, and will treat it correctly.

Paragon's web site says they're Mojave compatible. I have it and have not seen issues.

Ronny, which 10GbE adapters are having issues? I'm using the Sonnet Twin TB3 but haven't updated yet and guess I won't for a while hah.
