Hey All -
Hoping someone can help me with this one. I want to love FCP X, I really do; but every time I re-boot my MBP and re-open FCP X- a vast majority of the clips I've color corrected change all their settings and look different.

After some experimentation this is what I've found.
Boot up MBP
Open FCP X
Color correction is off.
Shut down FCP X.
Trash perferences.
Open up FCP X - All my original color correction is back.
At this point I can shut down and re-open FCP X as many times as I want - color correction is fine.
Re-boot MBP, Open FCP X and color correction is off again.
Trash Prefs and it's back.

FCP X 10.3.4
OS 10.11.16
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

Footage playing from a NAS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean it looks off, or the adjustments are actually not set where they should be?

I'd also recommend testing out other image apps where color is critical, such as Pixelmator or Photoshop or iMovie. Make sure it isn't your system. Because I've never seen FCPX do that. I doubt it is the app. I strongly suspect the system. May have a bad GPU chipset (I've had two past MBP's have video chips go wacko).

Thanks for responding guru.
It doesn't happen in other programs, like PPro.
I mean that clips I've applied color correction to, when re-booted and re-opened look like the settings have been changed. Sometimes it's like the saturation has been doubled. Sometimes they change to an almost sepia.
I wish there was some rhyme or reason.
