Again, like 2016, most of the interesting news for Final Cut Pro users actually happened outside of the NAB show. Coremelt announced two new products that are in beta. Scribeomatic for automatic transcription of dialogue and Chromatic, a colour grading plugin with built-in tracking.

A new app from Marquis Broadcast allows users to media manage FCPX Projects to just the media used on a Project timeline. We take the WORX4 X beta for a quick spin. (Spoiler- We already think it's great)

Up until now, there wasn't really a way to combine marked ranges, favourites, ratings and roles from different FCPX users together. MergeX, a new $49 application now allows you to do exactly that. Without duplicate clips!
