MBS 17 6 2015

This week we look at animating environments with 3D text in Final Cut Pro X and creating a light wrap effect in Motion.

This week's Ripple tutorials are both about tweaking the look of 3D text in Final Cut Pro X and Motion.

In this new episode of MacBreak Studio, Steve Martin shows Mark Spencer how the different environments affect 3D text in FCPX. He also describes a good trick to facilitate animating the environment parameters to achieve changing reflections.

All good knowledge from Steve, if you would like to know more about the 3D text features in FCPX, make sure you check out his Final Cut Pro X 10.2 In-Depth tutorial.

Mark Spencer returns on his own this time to give us a tip on how to create a light wrap effect in Motion. Very handy for making 3D text look 'more real' when bright objects are positioned behind the text.
