macbreak studio jan 22 FCPX

**Updated with workaround**

Steve Martin calls this new episode of MacBreak Studio 'The Compound Clip Conundrum.' So what's the problem and how do you fix it?

A new episode of MacBreak Studio which we thought wasn't going to be published this week, but the guys let us know it would be available today. You have to admire their track record of weekly free tutorial production. This episode is number 299.

Steve Martin takes a look at compound clips and how they only reference the length of media in the clip when it is created. That's fine for most uses, but what if you need extra media or 'handles to perform a dissolve on the front or back of the clip?

As always, great tips from Steve and Mark. Their individual 5 minute FCPX & Motion lessons will be back next week.
